Gwangju City Mayor Bang Se-hwan announced the city's plans for the D-200th anniversary of the 2024 20th International WASBE Conference through an online municipal briefing on 29, December, 2023.
"In connection with the 2024 World Wind Instrument Conference, the city has organized major attractions in the city, including Namhansanseong Art Hall, Gonjiam Porcelain Park, Cheongsuk Park, and Namhansanseong Fortress, as fringe festivals and special performance venues," Mayor Bang explained.
"We are expecting a large number of visitors to visit Gwangju, with more than 1,000 participants, including 10 main performers, 30 fringe performers, members from more than 50 countries around the world, and music-related organizations," said Mayor Bang, adding, "We plan to provide a comfortable stay environment by establishing Gonji Amusement Resort as the official lodging and linking it with the hotel.
