A visiting delegation from the 2024 20th International WASBE Conference Organizing Committee participated in 'The 77th Midwest Clinic' in Chicago, USA.At the Midwest Clinic, Gwangju Cultural Foundation CEO Oh Se-Young attended the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles(WASBE) General Assembly and gave a preliminary presentation on the 2024 20th International WASBE Conference, which will be held in Gwangju from July 16 to 20 next year.
Starting with a video greeting from the organizing committee chairman and an introduction to the eight beautiful sights of Gwangju, including the World Heritage Site Namhansanseong, the presentation covered the overall event preparation, including the performance program, venue, accommodation, and transportation.
Especially, the promotional booth provided musicians who participated in the event with useful information about the '2024 20th International WASBE Conference' to be held in Gwangju, Korea, by operating traditional musical instruments and traditional play experiences so that they could experience Korea's unique culture.
The "Midwest Clinic" is a world-class music event, now in its 77th year, held every December in Chicago, USA, and is the largest event of its kind in the U.S., with over 18,000 attendees from all 50 states and more than 40 countries.
